City of Providence, RI – Roger Williams Park Zoo Red Panda Exhibit

Following the completion of the Faces of the Rainforest Exhibit, Bentley was successful in the award of the demolition and construction of the enhanced Red Panda Exhibit. The existing exhibit was little more than an open-air treehouse with an attached exterior play yard. Adjacent to this area was the keeper area, however there was no convenient way to get the animals off exhibit for care by the keepers. The new habitat boasts spacious indoor and outdoor areas designed to mimic the red pandas’ natural Himalayan habitat. Strategically placed viewing windows and a remote camera system ensure both animal comfort and visitor engagement. The entire space is enriched with climbing structures, multiple viewing angles, and private retreats for the pandas.
