State of Rhode Island Fire Academy – Phase III
State of Rhode Island Fire Academy – Phase III
This project represents the beginning of phase 3 of a multi-year construction project. The Rhode Island State Fire Academy is dedicated to meeting the training requirements of Rhode Island’s 6,000 firefighters by providing coordinated education and training to enhance firefighter safety and develop high-quality training programs.
The project aims to enhance the existing facility by adding an auditorium and classroom space connected to the current building. Additionally, it includes construction of a new free-standing engineered metal Fire Training Station (FTS) on the RIFTA Campus and will include two new classrooms, an auditorium, and a five bay fire station. The fire station will be the new home for the RI Fire Chiefs Physical Performance Assessment (PPA) testing.
